Chinese President Xi Jinping has met with his Nigerian counterpart Muhammadu Buhari, who is on a five-day state visit, in Beijing.

Both leaders reviewed the guard of honour in front of the Great Hall of the People, and then held a bilateral meeting. President Xi Jinping said this year marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of China-Nigerian diplomatic ties. He also expressed that China is willing to deepen relations in multiple areas, including agriculture, mining, and infrastructure.
Buhari thanked President Xi for China's long-term help, and expressed a desire to work together with China on international affairs. After the meeting, both leaders signed cooperation deals, involving fields like infrastructure and investment.
