A series of key economic figures will be released this week. Besides the CPI and PPI readings for March, M1 and M2 figures as well as social financing and RMB loan data was released on Monday. Total electricity consumption in March will be released on Thursday. March figures for fixed asset investments, industrial value added, and retail consumer sales are due out Friday. The GDP reading for the first quarter will also be announced on Friday. Shenwan Hongyuan Securities estimates that GDP for the first quarter will be up 6.6 percent year on year.
