Group of Seven foreign ministers have pledged more efforts in nuclear non-proliferation and international counter-terrorism. The top diplomats released a statement at the end of a two-day meeting in the Japanese city of Hiroshima.
They pledged support for the US-led coalition to intensify and accelerate the fight against the Islamic State group. The foreign policy chief of the European Union also participated in the talks.
Aside from the meeting, the ministers visited the Itsukushima Shrine, a world heritage site. They also paid a visit to a memorial dedicated to victims of the Hiroshima atomic bombing in 1945.
