Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has rebuked the US as he reaffirmed his country's position on its missile program. He was speaking at a joint press conference with his visiting Estonian counterpart, Marina Kaljurand. Washington deems Iran's missile program as a threat to both regional and world peace.
"Iran's missile and defensive capabilities are not negotiable. If the US government is really serious about defense issues, it should decrease the sales of weapons in the region, which are used to kill innocent Yemeni people every day. Mr. Kerry should ask US allies where the extremist Islamic State group's arms come from and who is selling them oil. Such questions are the ones that need to be asked, instead of making obsolete and baseless accusations against the Islamic Republic of Iran. The US should look at the Middle East issues more seriously," Zarif said.
