Russia says it will make every effort to find a political settlement to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said this on Thursday, after holding talks with his counterparts from Azerbaijan and Iran in the Azerbaijan capital Baku.

The remark comes as Azerbaijan and Armenia accused each other of violating a two-day-old ceasefire in the region. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev also met with his Armenian counterpart Hovik Abrahamyan on Thursday in Yerevan, to discuss the ceasefire.
