Azerbaijani and Armenian forces say they are now largely observing a ceasefire in the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region.

The truce came into force on Tuesday, after clashes broke out at the end of last week.

Scores of people were killed in the worst outbreak of violence in the territory in decades. German Chancellor Angela Merkel held a news conference with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, and called for a lasting truce.

The German Chancellor Angela Merkel have many years since the end of cold war been pushing mostly thought the organization of security and cooperation in Europe to bring about solution to this peace process....so it could be an energy security if that supply was hindered by a conflict.
