China's Ministry of Commerce said over the weekend that it will impose anti-dumping measures on fiber and steel imports.
Acrylc fiber producers in Japan, South Korea and Turkey have been dumping their products into the Chinese market, according to the ministry. Those producers are required to pay cash deposits to customs ranging from 6.1 to 17.8 percent. Grain oriented flat-rolled electrical steel imported from South Korea, Japan, the European Union are also required to pay cash deposits ranging form 14.5 to 46.3 percent. The ministry said both dumping had caused "substantial damage" to Chinese industry .
