Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has dismissed media reports alleging that Russia and the United States have reached an agreement over the fate of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. The news comes as work continues to resume UN-led peace talks in Geneva.
"That's why all these leaks about allegedly reached agreements in Moscow with John Kerry about Assad's fate - they are probably just reason to create some kind of background in international social opinion and mess up the issue, to try again to achieve some kind of compromise, which breaks previous agreements," said Sergei Lavrov.
