Chinese President Xi Jinping has arrived in Washington D.C. for the fourth Nuclear Security Summit.
He will give a keynote speech at the plenary session, explaining China’s stance and proposals on nuclear security issues. He will also present China’s new measures and achievements in the area, and put forth a set of practical proposals on further beefing up global nuclear security.
On the sidelines of the summit, Xi is expected to meet with his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama for their first rendezvous this year, in talks to promote the China-U.S. relationship. He will also confer with other national leaders on issues of common concern.
