Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Czech counterpart Milos Zeman have witnessed the signing of a series of business deals, covering manufacturing, finance and aviation sectors.
At Wednesday's China-Czech economic and trade cooperation round-table, business leaders from both sides signed deals in areas from energy and infrastructure to finance and telecommunications. President Xi emphasized to the participants that China is still the driving force behind global economic growth, contributing 25 percent of total growth last year. This was despite China's deepening economic reforms and the complicated global economy.
Xi also called for China and the Czech Republic to establish a sense of community of common destiny. He said this would allow them jointly address global economic challenges and realize win-win development through strengthened cooperation.
This is the final day of the Chinese president's historic visit to the Czech Republic. He will soon head to Washington DC for the fourth and final Nuclear Security Summit.
