During his visit, Chinese President Xi Jinping has received a special token—a key to the Czech capital city. It was presented by the Mayor of Prague, Adriana Krnacova, Tuesday afternoon.

Xi expressed that the key represents the deep friendship between the Czech and Chinese people. He said local exchanges between China and the Czech Republic are key to the overall development of bilateral ties. He also expressed the hope that the two capitals will lead new breakthroughs in relations and local cooperation.

Krnacova said cooperation between China and the Czech Republic has seen fast developments, with great contributions to both sides. The mayor added that she also felt excited that Xi had witnessed the pairing-off ceremony, in which the two capitals became sister-cities.
