RIO DE JANEIRO, April 22 (Xinhua) -- Santos star striker Robinho offered his support and advice for Adriano on Thursday, urging Adriano to take better care of his physical condition in order not to be kicked off the squad to travel to South Africa for the 2010 World Cup.
"Adriano is a great player. He is one of the best strikers that I have ever seen. It is a shame that I have to ask him to take better care of himself. You never know what is going through the head of Dunga. I want Adriano alongside me at the World Cup his best possible shape," said Robinho.
Adriano's spot on the Brazilian World Cup team is not certain. He is competing for a spot along with Grafite as the team's last striker. Neymar is also another possible candidate for the position.
The only spots given as certain on Dunga's list of players to make the trip to Africa are Robinho, Luis Fabiano, Nilmar and goalkeeper Julio Cesar.
Dunga will make his official list of players known publically on May 11, one month before the kickoff of the World Cup.
