BEIJING, April 18 (Xinhua) -- Air China and China Southern Airlines, the nation's two major international flights operators, said Sunday they have canceled the majority of their flights to Europe due to the enormous ash clouds from an Icelandic volcano.
Air China said it has canceled most flights from Beijing to Paris, Frankfurt, London and Moscow, adding that it will keep close watch on developments and adjust its flights accordingly.

China Southern Airlines said it has canceled flights from Beijing to Amsterdam, and the departure time for most flights to Europe remains undetermined. The company said passengers can learn more information via its customer service hotline at 95539.
