Taiwan medical team heads for mainland quake zone

TAIPEI, April 18 (Xinhua) -- A medical team of Taiwan Red Cross left here Sunday morning for quake-hit Qinghai Province to assist relief work and is expected to arrive at Qinghai's capital city Xining at around 9 p.m.

Taiwan medical staff are to help with surgery treatment and public health work, the Taiwan Red Cross said.
