Rescue teams find last body of plane crash victims in Mexico

MEXICO CITY, April 15 (Xinhua) -- Rescue teams Thursday recovered the last victim's body from the cargo plane crash site near the International Airport in Monterrey, northern Mexico.

"The corpse is totally burnt," the rescue crew said at the crash site in Monterrey, capital of Nuevo Leon state.

The Forensic Medical Service will run lab tests to identify the victims, as most of the recovered bodies were badly damaged.

The cargo plane, an Airbus A300B4-203F model, crashed near the International Airport in Monterrey at around 23:15 local time (0415 GMT Wednesday) on Tuesday. The crash occurred a few kilometers away from the principal runway of the airport, killing seven people, among them five crew members.

The plane, which belongs to Aerotransporte de Carga Union (AeroUnion), a Mexico City-based cargo airline, was flying from Mexico City to Monterrey, and was scheduled to continue on to Los Angeles.

With the black boxes recovered, the Civil Aviation Authorities are still carrying out investigations to determine the cause of the crash.
