Austrian president expresses condolences on Polish president's death

VIENNA, April 10, (Xinhua) -- Austrian President Heinz Fischer issued a statement Saturday to express his condolences over the death of Polish President Lech Kaczynski in a plane crash in Russia earlier in the day.

In a statement issued through the Austrian Press Agency (APA), Fischer was "deeply shocked and concerned" about the news that Kaczynski’s plane crashed in Russia.

He expressed deep condolences to Kaczynski’s family, the relatives of the 131 other victims and the Polish people.
