Special Report: Polish President Dies In Plane Crash |
WARSAW, April 11 (Xinhua) -- A plane with relatives of victims of Saturday's crash of the presidential plane in Smolensk left Warsaw Okecie airport for Moscow on Sunday afternoon, the CIR government information center reported.
The second plane will leave for Moscow on Monday morning.
The relatives of parliamentarians are to identify their nearest and dearest killed in the plane crash at Smolensk airport, spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Malgorzata Wozniak said.
The families of the victims are accompanied by psychologists and two chaplains as well as representatives of the Foreign Ministry.
The Russian side said that hotel rooms were waiting for all the relatives coming to Moscow, according to the Foreign Ministry spokesman.
On Saturday morning, a Polish government plane carrying a delegation for the 70th anniversary of the Katyn crime crashed at Smolensk, 18 kilometers from Katyn where WWII Polish officers were murdered 70 years ago. All 96 passengers aboard the plane were killed including President Lech Kaczynski and his wife Maria.
