Golf fans attending the Boao International Tourism Forum (BITF) will get personal tips from none other than golf pro Greg Norman himself. Home to several golf courses, Hainan Island is hosting a golf conference as part of BITF in order to increase the popularity of its courses. According to the forum's organizing committee, Norman will speak about the current situation and prospects of the golf industry on the forum's opening day, March 18. The next day the talk will move to the green and Norman will give tips to guests on how to improve their swing before playing a round of golf together.
Norman was born in 1955 in Queensland, Australia. He spent 331 weeks ranked as the world's number one golfer during the 80s and 90s. Norman earned the nickname of the Australian-patrolling "Great White Shark," sometimes simply being called "The Shark," for his blond hair and aggressive golf style.
