BEIJING, March 14 (Xinhua) -- The Third Session of the 11th National People's Congress (NPC) is to hold its closing meeting at 9 a.m. Sunday.
Nearly 3,000 lawmakers will vote on the amendment to the Electoral Law, which grants equal representation in people's congresses to rural and urban people.
The parliament is expected to approve the work reports of the government, the NPC Standing Committee, the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate.
Also to be endorsed are the central and local budgets, and the report on economic and social development.
Premier Wen Jiabao will meet the press after the closing meeting.
