Tibetan official criticizes Dalai Lama as "source of instability"

BEIJING, March 7 (Xinhua) -- The Dalai Lama is the mastermind of a separatist group and the very source of instability of Tibet, said Padma Choling, chairman of the Tibet autonomous regional government here Sunday.

"The Dalai's lies to the world and media have adversely affected Tibet's development," he said at a press conference on the sidelines of the annual session of the National People's Congress, the country's top legislature.
