BEIJING, Jan. 30 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese Defense Ministry lodged a stern protest Saturday to the United States over a planned sales of weapons to Taiwan.
Qian Lihua, director of the Defense Ministry's Foreign Affairs Office, summoned the defense attache of the U.S. Embassy in Beijing to lodge the protest Saturday afternoon, according to a press release of the office.
