TIANJIN, East China, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- With the success of the fifth East Asian Games (EAG), the organizers of the sixth edition, which is set in east China's Tianjin, vowed to make another legendary in four years' time.
Xie Delong, vice director of the local sports governing body of Tianjin, has just ended his trip to Hong Kong, China, where the fifth EAG was held and told Xinhua on Wednesday the Hong Kong games were beautifully organized in terms of competition, security, transportation and media service.
With the theme of peace, friendship, harmony and development, the local organizers will give all out to make it the best and biggest ever EAG in history, said Xie.
"We will also talk to the members of the EAG and make some adjustments to events which will include associations into more sports," he added.
The logo and mascots of the Tianjin EAG have been announced, with the adjustment of events and venues construction going underway.
