PYONGYANG, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- A new type of biological air purifier had been developed in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), the official Rodong Sinmun daily said on Tuesday.

The air purifier, developed by the environmental technology research group of the DPRK National Academy of Sciences, could effectively remove dust, bacteria and virus from the inner room.

It was made from nanometer compound materials. The remote-controlled machine can be widely used in hospitals and food factories, the KCNA said.
