BEIJING, Dec. 15 (Xinhuanet) -- After an unofficial debut, Google's Nexus One got the approval of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) with T-Mobil 3G and turned up on the commission's site with a few of the specs detailed Monday.
Google's employees were gifted the new phones over the weekend which drew more attentions to the new product.
The phone made by HTC is based on Google's Android operating system and rumors have been saying that Google is responsible for all designs of it.
Right before last weekend, Google shared the phones with some of its employees and put up a blog post saying it was testing new phone.
Hours after the announcement, the Wall Street Journal affirmed the device and its name. But Google declined to tell more details.
The debut of Nexus One has triggered heated discussions. It is referred to as "the" Google phone by some people, but other doubted it is just "another" Google phone.
The rare strategy of Google to sell the phone directly online without any wireless carrier partners is considered by some commentators a new but potentially risky move to go into the mobile market.
