TEHRAN, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- An advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei slammed Wednesday some "certain Arab countries" of plotting against Iran, the semi-official Fars news agency reported.

Major General Yahya Rahim-Safavi, the advisor for military affairs of Khamenei, made the remarks in a meeting to study the different aspects of the recent bombing in Iran's southeastern province of Sistan and Balouchestan, the report said.

In October, the deadly suicide attack by Sunni rebel group Jundallah (God's soldiers) killed 45 people, including a number of senior Iran's Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) commanders, and wounded dozens of others.

Rahim-Safavi said the attack was "the plots of intelligence agencies of the U.S., Britain, Pakistan and other rich states on the southern rims of the Persian Gulf and we are tangled with them in the region."

"Terrorists who stage such attacks against other countries receive lots of money from certain Arab countries while they are also supported by the intelligence agencies of the same states," the former chief commander of the IRGC said without referring to the name of certain Arab states involved in the issue.

Iran's current IRGC Chief Commander Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari had already accused the United States, Britain and Pakistan of aiding the Jundallah rebels.
