HONG KONG, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- The Hong Kong health authorities reported another death case of influenza A/H1N1 on Saturday, bringing the number of such cases to 44 in Hong Kong.

The case involved a 95-year-old man who was admitted to the Prince of Wales Hospital on Nov. 28 after developing flu symptoms. He had hypertension, stroke, heart disease and dementia, the Hospital Authority said in an announcement.

The man was confirmed to be influenza A/H1N1 positive on Nov. 29. He remained critical and died on Saturday afternoon, the authority said.

The influenza A/H1N1 hit Hong Kong in early May. The outbreak of the disease has somehow ebbed after peaking around October. Some scientists said they expected another peak of the flu virus around Hong Kong's flu season in February.
