Special Report: Dubai Debt Crisis |
BANGKOK, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- The ongoing financial crisis in Dubai has not been negatively affecting Thailand's agricultural exports to Dubai, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Theera Wongsamut said Monday.
The Thai minister's view was made after the Dubai government's shock decision to ask creditor banks for six-month delay on its massive debt repayments last Thursday.
Thailand's exposure of agricultural exports to Dubai is in a small scale, Thai News Agency quoted Theera as saying.
The export value of the Thai agricultural foods such as crops, livestocks, and fisheries to Dubai, is approximately valued at 100million U.S. dollars only, Theera said.
