Macao chief congratulates appointees of third-term Macao SAR government

MACAO, Nov 24 (Xinhua) -- Edmund Ho Hau Wah, chief executive of Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), has extended his congratulations to the appointed principal officials and public prosecutor-general of the third-term Macao SAR Government, according to a press release by the Government Tuesday.

Ho said he believed that the third-term Macao SAR Government, to be led by Mr Chui, would work cordially with the general public and make further achievements in the implementation of the principle of "One Country, Two Systems."

The State Council had appointed the principal officials and public prosecutor-general nominated by the third-term Chief Executive, Chui Sai On. According to the Basic Law, the new CE and the appointed principal officials will take office on Dec. 20 this year, which also marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the SAR.
