Twitter launch site in French

BEIJING, November 20 (Xinhuanet) -- Twitter has launched its micro-blogging social networking site in French, a month after it rolled out a Spanish version of the site. With more than 30 countries around the world using French as its first language, it will expand Twitter's user base dramatically.

"It is now possible to change the language settings in French with the participation of translators who have helped turn Twitter into a platform for truly global communication," Twitter said in a statement. To use Twitter in French, a simple change of the language may be made in the settings menu.
