Google offers free wireless Internet access to 47 U.S. airports

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- Google Inc. has launched a free Wi-Fi service at 47 airports across the United States Tuesday.

As part of a holiday promotion, passengers will have until Jan.15 an unlimited access to the Internet. "This is one of our holiday gifts to our users," Google said in a statement.

The company also tries to promote some of its latest products such as Googlec Chrome browser.

The 47 airports include some of America's busiest international airports as well as smaller airstrips. They handle more than 500 million passengers every year.
