SHENZHEN, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Dejiang Saturday called for increased exchange and cooperation of professionals globally to promote world prosperity and development.

Zhang made the call when delivering a speech at the 2009 Conference on International Exchange of Professionals, which opened Friday in Shenzhen, boom city in southern Guangdong Province.

China would unswervingly follow the policy of opening up and would continue bringing in foreign professionals to broaden international exchange and promote world development, Zhang said.

He stressed that China attached equal importance to nurturing talent on its own and importing experts from abroad.

He said, "Under the current circumstance, increasing cooperation in professionals will be conducive to tackling global financial crisis and facilitating the economic recovery."

Zhang also urged more support to the developing countries in the international personnel exchange.
