Olympic runner-up Fu advances at National Games

QINGDAO, East China, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- Olympic silver medalist Fu Haifeng and Zhu Lihua advanced into the men's doubles semifinals of badminton tournament at the 11th Chinese National Games here on Friday.

The Guangdong pair took down Xie Zhongbo and Dong Xiao from Sichuan 23-25, 21-19 and 21-16 in the 63-minute match.

Fu paired with Cai Yun to win a silver medal at the Beijing Olympic Games. He was also a twice world champion in 2006 and 2009.
