Iran, Tajikistan survive Group B in AFC U-16 Championship

KATHMANDU, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- Iran and Tajikistan survived Group B of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-16 Championship-2010 here on Tuesday.

In the first match of the last day held at Dasrath Stadium in Nepali capital Kathmandu on Tuesday, Iran beat Bahrain by 2-0 to be the group winner while Tajikistan upset host Nepal 4-0.

Though Iran and Tajikistan collect same 10 points and have a same goal difference, the winner was decided on the basis of yellow card. Iran had six bookings while Tajikistan had seven.
