The romantic comedy had a jam-packed premiere in Taipei on Wednesday, raising the curtain of the inaugural Cross-Straits Film Exhibition, which aims to boost exchanges between filmmakers and audiences of the mainland and Taiwan.

"If You Are the One", which will be screened nine more nights during the festival, led a list of seven mainland films that will offer Taiwan audiences a free glimpse of the mainland cinema.

These films will be screened throughout the following week in Taipei and Taichung.

While Taiwan is getting a taste of the mainland, Beijing and Tianjin will get their turn to see six Taiwan-made movies in cinemas starting June 26.
