Five Golden Flowers

This love story takes place in southwest China's Yunnan province, and features much singing and dancing. Its title song "By the Butterfly Creek" remains one of the country's most memorable movie soundtracks.

The movie gained recognition in the international market, garnering the Best Director's Prize for Wang Jiayi and a Best Actress Award for Yang Likun at the Afro-Asian Movie Festival in 1960. The "Five Golden Flowers" has been shown in a record-breaking 46 countries and regions.
