WASHINGTON, June 3 (Xinhua) -- Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James was released from the Cleveland Clinic on Wednesday, a day after having a benign growth removed from his jaw.

The NBA MVP received a five-hour surgery Tuesday and his team said James returned home and was recovering well.
James has had the condition for several months but decided not to have surgery until the team's season was complete following their elimination from in the Eastern Conference finals of the NBA playoffs by Orlando Magic.
Tissue was removed from James' parotid gland, which causes salivation, in a procedure that if often time consuming because of nerves and blood vessels in the area.
