In Beijing, the tickets became available this week for one of the hottest concerts of this summer. Noted singer Song Zuying appeared at the Bird's Nest to introduce the show. It will also feature
performances by Domingo, Jay Chow, and Lang Lang.
Monday's ceremony was ablaze with the color of two thousand and nine butterflies. Song Zuying, who will headline the show "Charm of China", unveiled the ticket design, along with entertainer friends Chen Daoming, Yan Weiwen, and Bai Yansong.
Song Zuying says gratitude will be the ruling theme of the concert. To look her best, she's been working out with a trainer. And Song hopes to surprise her fans with her talent in dancing.
Song Zuying belongs to the Miao ethnic group. She's known for her distinctive costumes based on centuries-old traditions of Southwest China.
For the concert at the Bird's Nest on June the 30th, she'll appear in six dazzling outfits, specially commissioned from top designers from Italy, France, Japan, and China.
Organizers have wrapped up technical arrangements after a month of intense preparations. The stage will be a first for the stadium: a 3-D structure a hundred meters wide and 30 meters high. Sound effects will be world class.
Giant video screens will give the audience a full view of the spectacular performances.
