The two confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland remain in stable condition. China will strengthen control measures. Starting next week, flight passengers must fill out a more detailed health declaration.

The Mainland's first confirmed patient has been isolated in the Chengdu infectious hospital for about a week.

The 30-year-old man, surnamed Bao, almost has no flu symptoms. The doctors say he can stop taking anti-flu drugs very soon, and he's just about ready to be discharged.

The second confirmed patient, surnamed Lü, has been under quarantine for four days. His temperature has returned normal, and is in a good spirits, with no headache or throat pain.

Medical Staff, said, "He told us that even though he couldn't see our faces (because of the masks), he knows who we are from our voices. He asked us to tell him which department we are from. He said he will come and thank us after he recovers."

Over 30 people who've had close contact with Lü have been tracked down, and are now quarantined in their homes.

From next week, airport passengers will be required to fill out a new health declaration. Arrivals must give their addresses and phone numbers both in China and in their own countries. Seat numbers are also required to make tracking easier, in case of emergency.
