6,498 A-H1N1 flu cases worldwide

Turning to the latest developments in the A-H1N1 flu outbreak, as of Friday the World Health Organization reports nearly six-thousand, five hundred confirmed cases of the flu in 35 countries and regions.

The United States has the most, with over 3,300 cases confirmed in 47 states, some 700 other suspected cases and three deaths. Mexico has 64 confirmed deaths.

Canada and Costa Rica have each confirmed one death. Peru reported its first confirmed case in a 27-year-old woman on Thursday.
