肯尼亞內羅畢大學孔子學院

    內羅畢大學孔子學院是中國教育部周濟部長和肯尼亞教育部長喬治賽托蒂共同簽署的。經中國國家漢語國際推廣領導小組辦公室批准，由天津師範大學和內羅畢大學共同承辦，是非洲第一家孔子學院。2005年12月19日，內羅畢大學孔子學院正式揭牌宣告成立，她的誕生拉開了非洲孔子學院的序幕被評價為中肯教育合作與交流的里程碑。

    The agreement of establishing the Confucius Institute at University of Nairobi was signed by Mr. Zhou Ji, the Minister of Ministry of Education, China, and Mr. George Saitoti, Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Kenya. Approved by Office of Chinese Language Council International, the CIUON, the first Confucius Institute in Africa, was established jointly by Tianjin Normal University and the University of Nairobi. On Dec.19th, 2005, the Opening Ceremony of CIUON was held, which became a milestone of Educational Cooperation between China and Kenya.

    內羅畢大學孔子學院建設理念是“友誼、合作、發展、共贏”。

    The philosophy of CINOU is “Friendship, Cooperation, Development, and Win-Win”.

    2008年度，內羅畢大學孔子學院一共開設8個漢語培訓（選修課）教學班，總人數達231人。本年度已有一個高級班、一個中級班結業，2008年獲得單科培訓證書的學生有32人。

    In 2008, CINOU issued 8 Chinese Courses (including selectable) with 231 students. In this semester, we’ve already finished the teaching programs for one senior and one middle level class. There are 32 students got their certificates for the language training.

    內羅畢大學孔子學院始終重視文化活動的組織，文化活動採用特講和生動的實踐活動相結合的方式進行。新北京新奧運特講、中國重要傳統節日特講和系列文化實踐活動，深深吸引了當地青年學生，2008年舉辦各類文化活動近80次，參加學生人數達 6000多人次。

    The CINOU always emphasize the culture activities, which are performed whether in practical activities or lectures. The lectures on Beijing Olympic Games 2008 and the important traditional festivals attracted the students greatly. We performed about 80 culture activities and the participants amounts to 6,000.
